MEET THE COACHES
The Slammers focus on hiring young, energetic, and experienced coaches. Our coaches focus on teaching the fundamentals, teaching the kids to be competitive, and having fun.
Sam Rubin
Program Director
Sam has been coaching youth baseball for the last 7 years and has been coaching the Slammers since their inception in 2018.
Maximino Rivas
Jr Slammers Head Coach
Mino played 4 years at Manchester High School and has been a Slammers coach since 2019. Mino is also a counselor for Slammers Camp in the Summer.
Carlos Soto
15U Pink Head Coach
Carlos pitched for 3 years at Cerro Coso Community College in CA before transferring to Union College in KY to finish out his eligibility. Carlos has a tremendous amount of in game knowledge and pairs it well with his his ability to teach pitching to our younger athletes.

Nate Jolly
11U Assistant Coach
"Nacho" as the kids call him, is an All Conference 3rd Baseman and Left Fielder for MHS. He has been coaching for the last 3 years and spends his Summer and Fall playing 3rd base for his 17U EHM Legion team.

Bryce Bonds
10U & 11U Assistant Coach
Bryce was a 10 year old playing up on our first ever Slammers 12U team in 2018. He currently plays second base on the Varsity team at Northwest Catholic. Bryce is also the starting Shortstop on his 17U EHM Legion team.

Matty Rivas
Assistant Coach
Matty played 4 years at Manchester High School and has been a Slammers coach since 2018. Matty is also a counselor for Slammers Camp in the Summer.

Shawn Rock
Assistant Coach
Shawn currently plays baseball for the Saint Joseph Blue Jays in West Hartford. Shawn also works at Slammers Summer Camp and has been a coach since 2019
Ray Martin
11U Assistant Coach
Ray is a current Sophomore at East Catholic and is a two year Varsity Soccer starter. He has been coaching the Slammers for the last two years and starts at second base on his 17U EHM Legion Team.
